Our purpose at the Sacred Thread Foundation goes beyond the marketing of indigenous handicrafts. Through education, we seek to empower communities, providing them with the necessary tools to escape poverty and develop sustainably.

We believe in the power of education as a catalyst for social and economic change. By providing training in diverse areas, from management and entrepreneurship to technology and design, we are opening up new opportunities for Indigenous communities.

We focus on rescuing and preserving the cultural legacy of these communities, recognizing its value and promoting appreciation for their art and traditions. Through design and the implementation of technology, we elevate craftsmanship to a higher level, enabling their integration into global luxury markets.

By entering these high-end markets, we are creating a tangible impact on the lives of Indigenous communities. We are not only improving their quality of life, but also promoting the appreciation of their territories as sacred places, where environmental stewardship is fundamental.

BECAUSE WE'RE IN THE GAME

Sacred Thread seeks to empower communities through education, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. It provides communities with tools to become entrepreneurs and overcome poverty, in addition to implementing various social projects aimed at contributing to the development and advancement of these communities.

Education:

Through training and mentoring programs, we empower leaders, strengthening their leadership, entrepreneurship, and management skills. We have various social projects focused on education, which we work on year after year: we provide school supplies for children in the communities, and we offer a reading workshop to encourage and promote reading among children. We seek to pave the way for the children of the community, who will be the drivers of progress in their territory and culture, by adopting a more critical and progressive approach.

Economic empowerment:

Indigenous communities, like the Wayuu in La Guajira, lack access to basic services and resources, as well as limited employment opportunities and education. Hilo Sagrado works to support the Wayuu and combat poverty and limited access to basic resources. We believe in the importance of self-sustainability. We don't simply want to provide temporary assistance, but rather to cultivate a solid path for these communities to sustain themselves. We work to create production and marketing channels that generate stable and lasting income.

Sustainable development:

Our focus on preserving cultural heritage is essential to preserving the identity, ancestral wealth, and environmental protection of these communities. We value and promote their traditions, arts, and crafts, ensuring they are passed down from generation to generation.

By 2033, Hilo Sagrado aspires to be a leading international foundation, collaborating with international donors and strengthening communities through programs in key areas such as business development through crafts, sustainable tourism, food security, education, and water.

Through innovation and strategic marketing, we seek to promote our products through diverse channels. Our vision also includes the construction and strengthening of independent production units in communities, allowing them to market their products under their own governance.

With these goals in mind, we strive to create a lasting positive impact and contribute to the sustainable development of the communities we serve.
