University Access

Access to higher education for indigenous communities is 2.5%, and 30.2% have no formal education, according to DANE (National Institute of Statistics and Census). The University of La Guajira and other universities in the country allow indigenous youth to enter free of charge; however, most fail to enter due to their low Icfe scores .

Thanks to a donation from the Ingresealau educational center, young people in the communities of Ciruelakat and Urrachikat will have the opportunity to take online pre-university courses, which will allow them to level up their academic knowledge and give them the opportunity to enter university.
