Thread Bank

The Sacred Thread Foundation is pleased to announce that a Thread Bank will be established for artisan women in the Ciruelakat community in Alta Guajira.

One of the reasons women stop making handicrafts is the high cost of transportation to Riohacha to obtain weaving materials. With the creation of the Thread Bank, the community's artisans will be able to save the money and time involved in traveling to the city and invest it in their families.
